tanka, other poetry, & insignificant writings of janet lynn davis
I must put one on the to do list! Researching a getaway is so exciting...imagining what will be almost takes you there!
Hmmmm adventure to the fore!!
Love the last three lines! The poem turns on the careful word choice in line 3, which keeps the reader pondering: is it just a notion, or can we . . .?
Could be day dreaming, philosphical, or reality - love the mood it sets... now I want to float away too...
I enjoyed your comments, Jennifer, Vandana, Jenny, and Susan! Yes, the researching was exciting and so was the actual trip. I'm ready for another such vacation.Forgive me if I don't visit your own blogs for a while. One of my eyes/muscles is still goofed up. The PC seems to be hard on them.
Sigh . . . if only.
maybe some day, wendy. or, you can go on an imaginary one with me sometime?
I hope your eyes recover soon. A river cruise sounds like just the medicine to cure all ills.Adelaide
yes, it is!
