Refusing

refusing

Happy to win second place for English-language tanka in the 2014 San Francisco International Competition, conducted by the Haiku Poets of Northern California (HPNC). Poet/editor Michael McClintock was the tanka judge this time.

  1. Oh, wow. This conjures the image of mother and daughter at that moment when age turns life back on itself. Though, I am sure there are other relationships this could represent. A well-deserved win, Janet. Congratulations!
