memories of spring.................
I love the contrast between the first and last lines!
thank you, vandana and jenny!the weather's finally getting cooler here in texas.
Spring leaves are a long way off. These small mercies - help us weather the winter.
Always good to see you, Wendy. We do need small things to help us weather our winters, don't we?
Ha! Just perfect, again. Really you amaze me with your wordsmithing.
Also...I recommended your work to a poet who posts his work online who is interested in tanka, as I think your tanka craft is stupendous...I hope you don't mind!
Jennifer - Wow, what a compliment, thanks! Sure, and best wishes to that poet on his tanka journey. In addition to the links at the left, here's another, the Tanka Society of America Facebook page:www.facebook.com/TankaSocietyOfAmerica
It will be some time before we see spring leaves again. I'll be wearing my Christmas earrings soon.Adelaide
Our leaves have only started to fall here. Things are still rather green overall. I actually am looking forward to possible temps in the 30s here near the end of the week - hoping that some of the pollen will finally die down. Thanks for stopping by...
I like the connection between the Fall season and hoping for the Spring season.
Also, I'm the blogger that Jennifer (Poet Laundry) is referring to. I'm looking forward to reading more of your tanka, here and in Atlas Poetica. Have a good day! :)
Nice to meet you, Justin, and thanks for your comments. I look forward to seeing your work as well.
