Still haunting me
still haunting me from time to time in dreams ... your jet-blackhair highlight-streaked to cover the gray you now must have —Modern English Tanka 3, Spring 2007 H A P P Y H A L L O W E E N
thanks for the feedback, jenny and jennifer! yes, a ghost of a different sort.
I barely remembered it was Halloween - no trick-or-treaters out here where we live. But we did pick up some half-priced bags of candy (for "him") this morning!
There's haunting and then there's haunting. Awesome double entendre! Holidays always seem to stir up those ghosts from the past, I find. A very sweet tanka.
Such a very different take on "haunting"--touched with nostalgia and mystery.
ReplyDeleteThat is a ghost of a different sort! Well done! Hope you enjoyed your Halloween :)
